Replacement floppy cable: found one but has pin 18 and 19 sealed

Hi guys

I am looking for a replacement flat cable for the floppy. Got one, but strange enough, has both pin 18 and 19 sealed, so I can't plug it unless I make the holes by hand.

I can't return the cable (paid 2 bucks; cost me more to ship it back), but I was curious to know why the cable is made in this way, and if it is safe to drill the holes and use it anyway on the amiga.

Thanks Curtis; I was curious to know why indeed they closed both pin 18 and 19 (which are the direction of the floppy head and the ground).

Used a needle and pulled out the plugs; glad that I have a usable cable
