beleive me, the A4000 manual isn't useful for this problem.
There are some of the newest 52X CD-RW, that have problems with the internal IDE.
There's no way to know if not install it and test.
i.e i have a Teac CD_W540 40-12-40 with 8 MB of cache that works loke a charm (even with my previous 68040 board) but the newer Teac 48x and 52x has problems with the internal IDE (OK with PowerFlyer).
