mhhh!!! ultra long ide cable? . .  .and which "The ordinary IDE cable you buy for PC computers today, usually have one hole plombed and don't work for the IDE controller from Elbox"?

Onestly, i've never heard of that before but anyway, AFAIK even with PowerFlyer, if you use very long cable, you need the "twisted-pairs" model one (80 wires).

Which value of MaxTransfer are you using? (the same for ALL partitions) and in future with SFS, use 400 dosbuffers for each partition.
