Hi Effy

it is the CDRW itself that is "burnproof" not the software.

I've the same CPU, and with those moder burner, i never fail a CD. (max 5x)

You can't use the XSurf IDE port. (CDRW aren't supported).

If you can, buy a PowerFlyer FastATA, that supports PIO MODE 4.

Anyway i'm still using the A4000 internal IDE port with MakeCD as well. (in a PowerTower)

Ciao

Hi Effy

"FrAmiga : I also know that it't the CDRW that is burn proof and not just software, but the Burn Proof needs to be activated through the software ..."

If you already know that the "burnproof" is an internal option of the CDRW, why the hell it must be activated?

And . . .no, there isn't a Tooltype burnproof related in MakeCD.

Ciao

@ Cass

try to run SnoopDos, and see if exists that Tooltype! not here.

I'm not 100% sure but could be useful, if the CDRW is an old model (a not burnproof one) or maybe an old version of MakeCD.

Anyway, those tooltype, doesn't exists on my system (MakeCD DAO 3.2d beta10)

Ciao
