Problem with a CV64 and P96
« on: October 07, 2003, 03:52:54 PM »
Hi all,

from some months ,i've a display problem with my A4000 in a PowerTower4000, a CV64 4 MB, P96 or CGX4.2 and AOS3.9 BB2.

The problem is that the displayed pictures are too black (dark areas are not displayed)

I've tryed the AGA output and the monitor displays the pictures OK (so i don't think that is a monitor fault)

I'm not 100% sure, but the problem is began, after the towerizing the A4000 in the PowerTower.

Could be a new backplane related problem? (wrong termination on RGB signals) or is the CV64 that has some failure?

Thanks for the attention

Ciao

Hi Kronos

alredy done :-(

I've tryed removing all the others cards with only the CV64 card installed but . . . .

I'll try to test the voltage on the CV64 card and then to test again with the original A4000D daughtercard.

Thanks

PS- the boards installed are:

1 TBC+ ZorroII
1 RepulseGold ZII
1 XSurf2 ZII

and the only ZIII CV64 (SB11)

Hi again,

yes AGA succesfully tested through the passtrough CV64 connector.

Colours aren't affected, the problem is still even disabling RGB (with the 3 monitor switch).

Even in greymode, if i load a greyscale pattern, the darker shades, are black.

Ciao

PS- thanks to Kronos, the ONLY ONE that had replyed to my help request.
