"I use an idefix buffered adapter with a master 2.5 HD (8GB) and a master 3.5 combo DVD/CDRW BTC"

Have you already successfully used that BTC combo with other Amiga system or its new?

No I haven't successfully used that BTC to the past, is new to my system (I bought it from vesalia with an external cdrom case). To the past I used makecd with old drives like "Acer 2x CDR", Sony 8x CDRW" and "Toshiba 4x CDRW".

i think the problem is the BTC unit, unfortunately.

AFAIK BTC is a OEM producer and that devices rely very much on the power of the CPU where is working on. (see PCs)

My Teac (and probably your previous CD writers in some way) have 8 MB of data buffer/write proof and rely very well even with my old 040 CPU card (writing on the fly as well)

btw.... have you updated your "makecdromfs.module" recently?
