There are 2 kinds of 4Way Splitters:
the "so called" BUFFERED (active, with the datalines electrically
"buffered") . . .OK for A1200 IDE port (if you want/need to use
3,5" devices and/or longer cables in tower systems)
and the UNBUFFERED one (passive) used "usually" in A4000.
