The ATE Company, is a PCB/BGA reworker (specialized in BGA soldering/reballing).

Don't ask them anything Amiga related, because they doesn't even know what an Amiga is.

If you think that your 604e and/or 603 CPUs has some problems related to bad soldering, brocken traces or so, the ATE is ok. They can perform ONLY reworking/BGA reballing and so.

Better than a kick on the teeths :-)

oops . . contact them before

@Jose

in few words . . .

1- they can rework your CPU (desoldering/reballing/fix the eventually brocken traces)- 70 Eur plus bla, bla

2- replace the CPU (if you are able to find one) for about the same price

3- take the CPU from a MAC CPU card (you must find one) and install it on the CSPPC for 140 EUR or so.

"Mission impossible" its a joke, if you ask me.

EDIT- i meant to say option 2 and 3

ah Ok well :-)

But you wish upgrade a working CSPPC or attempt the upgrade on a broken one? (or at least with a not working 604)

Because IMHO, are 2 completely different aproach.

As you can see, the guy had a "not-working" 604e (not a fried one- like most of the broken CSPPC).

The Company (A.T.E. Srl) has desoldered/reworked the 604e and, most impostant had fixed some broken traces under the PPC.

Unfortunately (as usual) i've sold my defective CSPPC few days before to know about the good work done by A.T.E. Srl :-(

So if you want, try . . . and let us know :-)
