A1200 / Blizzard 1260 / M-Systems FFD-250-IDE-512

Has anyone ever used an M-Systems IDE Flash Disk in their A1200? I've got a 512 MB model here, and it works great on an unmodified A1200. As soon as I throw the Blizzard 1260 in, however, the system won't boot. (Can't get to the early startup screen, so I don't think it's making it past the accelerator's init--with the Blizzard SCSI kit installed, the system goes into a reboot loop.)

Bypass the 1260 (hold down the 2 key...), and the disk works fine. Traditional 2.5" IDE disks work fine in both configurations. Any ideas? Would a buffered IDE interface change the way the 1260 sees the solid state disk?

I'm using a new A500 PSU. . . . Hmmm. The flash disk is rated at 460mA with a 5V power source. That's 2.3W, right? The hard disk is rated at about 3W average. So it looks to me like the power requirements for the flash disk are actually lower than the hard disk.

In the past, I ran the system (A1200 / 1260 / SCSI / scandoubler) on the A1200 PSU without problems.

Ugh. I guess I'll just stick with the hard disk for now. Plenty of other toys sitting around that will probably work with the flash disk. :-)
