@platon42

Serious question: How will Deneb support work? Based on your actions, the general public viewpoint is that Poseidon is dead. Will E3B be providing support for the stack? (I'm asking with respect to E3B, the Deneb, and the Poseidon stack and not with respect to your personal relationships with Michael or anyone else in the Amiga community. Although, if for some reason you and Michael have a falling out, it does leave your customers without support and in many jurisdictions would expose E3B to quite a bit of legal risk.) That said, I suppose I should be posing this question to E3B directly.

So my software predictions:

1. More IP stack choices.
2. A port of an up-to-date JVM.
3. VGA/SVGA/VESA display driver for Picasso 96 (if I can sort out a hardware-independent way to access VGA memory during ROM initialization under x86 emulation and afterwards--without signing NDAs).

OK, so those are my personal projects, so maybe they don't count as predictions....

uIP and lwIP (the two stacks I'm using) both support IPv6. I don't have IPv6 up on my home network, but once I get IPv4 going properly, I'll look at IPv6.

From an addressing point of view, I'm more inerested in IPv4 autoconf for interoperability with systems and devices that support autoconf and multicast DNS.

Check the uIP thread here on Amiga.org for the latest updates on both stacks.
