I forgot to ask: is Jens shipping these with low-profile backplates? I've just realized that every card I'm using in my PCI busboard is low-profile. . . .

EDIT: And have Christian Hattemer and Chris Hodges updated cw-keyboard? (Or does it just work? Haven't seen MK4 internals yet.)

I think the HardSID cards win in the pure SID coolness category, but the SID support in the Catweasel gets the emulation nod, as it supports paddles on the joystick ports. Actually, joystick ports and support for paddles as MIDI controllers would be a nice feature for the HardSID cards. I'm getting off topic.

I've never put a SID chip in my MK3, but I hear it works great. But even with two SID chips, the MK4 appears to be designed for the emulation enthusiast rather than the musician.

The processor board included with C-One has a 20 MHz 65816 (like the SuperCPU--don't know if it's exactly the same processor), but the current C64 core disables it. I wonder if Jeri has plans to update the core to provide access to the 65816 in a SuperCPU-compatible way?

The C-One sounds very interesting. Another item I haven't read much on, though. So.... a C64 at the original clock speed or can it offer an accelerated C64 also? Wouldn't need one of those SuperCPU's anymore, I suppose.

Sweet. Though when you said two, I was hoping for one for the card and one for the second joystick port. :-) But a low-profile backplate for a 9-pin serial port should work.
