If you want I can take a look at it for you - it's the postage that's the problem.  Alternatively get a new one, stick the old board / Amiga on EBAY and describe it as is - then someone like me can buy it and repair it =)  
 
I will bet its salvageable - it's a question of looking closely at the PCB to check the damage and use a multimeter to check connectivity against the circuit diagram and what can be seen of what's left of affected traces.

To be honest. Once I get this deal sorted with the other Amigas. You are more than welcome to the old board If you wish as I may end up using the old case for my pc Load It up with Aros or whatever lol

Sorry about the damage in your motherboard...but wouldn't you rather own an Amiga 1200 instead? It is a real Amiga after all and it is better than A500+ with no limitations or restrictions. Just my thought on this matter.

As for the Amiga radio it is sad that the only thing comes out of it is music . I wish it was an Amiga talk show radio, where people talk about everything Amiga and there are people calling and so forth. Sad

I wish i could afford a 1200 to be honest. Those seem to be dead expensive from what I seen on Ebay . But I don't mind the lower models. As long as I can do what I need to do. I.E Monkey Island and my music programs

I'd happily host live shows/talks etc. In fact I'd really like that, I'm not much of a voice though. So if anyone feels up to the job and wants some airtime, say and let's see what we can do.

How would you go about setting this up though? Weekly podcast over Teamspeak or Mumble?

Going live would take more work I'd imagine.

The problem with podcasts is they are non-interactive. The station is streamed over shoutcast which is quite easy to do live shows on, with the aid of a broadcasting package. I did do a few live shows on the c64 station a couple of years back so I know what is needed. You can use irc chat or similar while your on air so listeners can join in too.

 I wouldn't rule out podcasts though, as long as they are interesting. They can be placed in the stream easily.

Indeed. It has the potential to make It seem like It's 1992 all over again. Games reviews. Tips and tricks, Interviews. And finally I can try and get Jon Hare (Anyone know what he Is doing these days?) in for an Interview with listener Q&A's My imagination Is already firing up as we speak lol

Sweeett!!! A REAL AMIGA TALK SHOW RADIO!!! Not only will you be talking about Amiga's but you will be helping live in best hardware configuration, advice in how to install, etc, etc ,etc. Even you will discuss new Amiga title games for sale and so forth, giving programmers entice to program for Amiga again. If the intention to do all of this on the same radio link in this forum then it is worth it for me to bookmark it. Is it?

@Dr Bongo. I got the 2 Amigas. Bad news Is neither worked properly. Good news Is Out of all the brokens. I managed to get a fully working Amiga 500. Here's how I achieved the feat

My old Amiga as you know had No sound but a prefect floppy drive
First Amiga I got today kept blinking black and green but a Dead Floppy drive
Second Amiga I got today Had a nothing wrong with It but a faulty floppy. It wouldn't read the disks and kept getting error messages.

I moved the perfect floppy drive to the good Amiga with the Faulty floppy and took the clean case from the Amiga which had the green and black error.

I now have a fully functioning Amiga, pending test as I think the keyboard Is non responsive with a few key. Not a problem though. I will use either keyboard from the now Spares department I have created lol

I have a few. Monkey island being my favorite. Play with the mouse so no keyboard issue then LOL. I just need to get round to putting one of those other keyboards in I'm really suprised I never see Cannon fodder in the bag of disks. Going to start to look for original disks soon
