Replacing heatsink on the CyberStormPPC
« on: January 07, 2008, 10:01:08 PM »
I think the stock heatsink/fan on the CyberStormPPC is pathetic, got a 5 mm heatsink and a 5 mm fan on mine, exchanged the 5v fan to a modern expensive silent 12v 10 mm fan but I want to replace the heatsink to.

I run a stock A4000D case so Y-space is limited by the 5.25 bay. Thinking about running this in combo with the fan or to combo it with a 40x40x20 fan, got about 4 cm height to play with.

But I don’t know if it will fit, anybody knows if it will or have any recommendations?

I have been going bezerk on my CyberVisionPPC with two packets of Zalman VGA heatsinks and a Zalman northbridge cooler ( http://iloblog.erkan.se/amiga?Home&post=20 ) so off-course I dont want to leave my CyberStormPPC stock with only a fan swap, be sure I am going to look for a solution (with some help) :-D
