Compatible enough as in not 100% compatible, so expect things to not work.

Wake me up when Coldfire is 100% compatible.

With enough demand, an fpga can be made into an asic.
I'd rather see a 100% compatible '030 though (in fpga).

The A3000 with a 1.4 rom needs the '030 mmu, so yes it's used.
