HxC Floppy Emulator
« on: January 27, 2013, 10:13:12 AM »
I'd like to install an internal HxC in my amiga 1200. I'd like to assign the HxC as DF0 and the current internal floppy as DF1 for writing physical disks. Is this  relatively easy to do?

Also, I have a 4gig cf drive installed, an ACA 128 meg card, a amiga to ps2 mouse converter > ps2/usb > running a wireless 2.4ghz dongle and PCMCIA cf adapter,  all of which seems fine. If I perform the above mod, will the stock a1200 power supply still be sufficient?

Thanks.

Thanks, I think I understand. It is doable and I think it would be quite cool, although I must admit, logically, I have a tower PC right next to the machine and it would be much less hassle to throw a catweazel in that and a simple switch between the hxc and internal floppy in the amiga to switch from one to the other.
