Yep, I'm fed up with all the flag waving by the mentally sub-normal* and the popular opinion that as we gifted the game to the world we automatically are favourites to win the cup - and the tournament proper hasn't even started yet!

However, if we do bring the trophy home I'll be very proud and writing to my MP campaigning for Sven to be given an honarary knighthood.

But saying that, my gut instinct is that Argentina/Germany will knock us out on penalties again...

There's always 2010. :pint:

(edit:* not referring to the fine folk here of course, unless you were piloting the blue Toyota with St Georges crosses which was driving right up my bum on the A11 yesterday)

I lived in North Wales for 6 months in 2001, from my experience the Welsh are not tolerant of English people whatsoever.  The ones I lived amongst hated English people.

I spent a week in Dolgellau in 2004 and can vouch for that. The North Welsh are occasionally very intolerant of the English to the point of violence.

Sweden can't even beat Trinidad & Tobago.

Now that was a really frustrating game. And please mr coach, let Källström play from the start for once!

I sat down and watched that game with a very unhappy Swedish girl, who had some choice words to say post match.

Still, Trinidad and Tobago put on a very plucky performance despite being the underdogs.  Luck was simply not on Sweden's side during the game.
