Does anyone remember Shawn?

I remember seeing some posts from him on Ann.lu and I read somewhere he was known here.

I wonder where he is now?

Of course everyone's going to vote for Doomy but surely there are other Trolls worthy of mention here?

Shaun the Bus Arch troll was legendary. All others pale in comparison. Doomy doesn't even come close.

I'm a relative newcomer here and although I read a few of his postings on ann.lu, I feel like I missed the more entertaining stuff.

He was convinced that the bus architecture of the classics was far superior to anything else in existence and he was a self professed overly obsessed expert on the subject. A true nutter. He had a website where he claimed that the British Royal Family endorsed the Amiga amongst other far fetched claims. A genuine nutcase.

Got a link?

I believe I might have seen this website way back in the day and didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Doomy certainly had his moments, I did find it amusing when he'd profess his expert credentials in one posting before signing in under a different name and asking for help installing a CD ROM or if an A2000 would play mp3 files.

Yikes!

It's people like that that give us here a bad name.  If you say you own an Amiga, people think you're a rabid enthusiast who's blinkered to any other platform...

But DoomMaster is the heart and soul of amiga.org . Don't you think you're being hard on the guy? He deserves another chance, and certainly made me laugh on a few occasions.

Bring this guy back, please. HE IS A LEGEND!!!

He seemed harmless enough at first, especially since he toned his writing style down a bit, but I doubt the members of this site whom Doomy/Boingboss etc ripped off would be quite so charitable.

I wanted to believe he was turning over a new leaf and felt sorry for him when people flamed him for the sake of it, but ripping off other users and / or telling people that their cherished systems were "pieces of crap" was nigh on inexcusable IMHO.  For those reasons he should be banned and stay banned.
