i started off with a 1084s that looked the same as the 1081 on amiga hardware book, just it didn't have the scart port and had a 1084s badge on the front.
one of the colour guns died, and i sent it off for repair. but commodore being commodore, didn't repair it, but sent me a new
1084s with a more curvey case and a power light like the amiga's power/drive lights. plus i've seen this monitor outside the UK with an "amiga" badge as opposed to the commodore badge... so i guess this was as official as it got. :-)
