hmmm, i had to trim the extra solder and pins off the back of the elbox fastATA thing to get it to fit normally.

then i bought the fastATA riser kit and clock port extender from amigakit to lift it over the bvision, but it then didn't fit with the keyboard in the desktop case. the final nail in the fastATA's coffin.

the extra reboot the fastATA introduces, along with the etra reboot from the 3.9 installation, and the extra reboot from the fusion installation, made a cold/cool boot a painfull process.

then the software split my 60Gb 1.8" drive into 15(!) seperate 4Gb logical drives. fifteen! what a PITA!

my fastATA is currently sitting in my 2nd A1200 doing nothing special without the software loaded. its only there as i can't be bothered to sell it.

and probably just like the rest of you, crates full of related "treasure" for the above XD

if it fits, then fair play :)
i seem to remember a screw head on the back of the keyboard pushing/scratching against the rom chips more than i was comfortable with, so took out the fastATA and bought an IDEfixExpress. even that gave me trouble. so took that out as well. so i've even taken out the slim slotloading DVD-RW as i don't have a 4way adapter in there anymore. i'll just use the scsi on my PPC card with an external DVDrom...  :-)

i've given up tinkering. i just want something that works, and i can use.
