DCE Scanmagic
« on: February 25, 2004, 02:11:44 PM »
Odd one really, got my scandoubler ( the type 1/2 internal 1/2 external ) on my a1200, get these odd yellow lines flickering on the screen , after it warms up, but only when there is activity on the IDE bus? Anyway... if ya ever get that i found that switching to DBLNTSC mode gets rid of it all.. odd??

Anyone ever had this problem or know why it happens?

Im guessing its some kinda heat problem... odd.

Kev

Thought about that - nope its well insulated.

It used to belong to JC - was a free gift so i appricate it :-)

Its been soldered a bit so maybe there is a fault...

Working well on DBLNTSC tho :-)

The mad thing is... when i bypass the SD (with my connetion cable) it dosent work, my monitor says "out of range - 28.5kHz.

Yeah AFAIK this SD is designed to fit in a desktop case. Want some photos?

aha i see what you mean...

yeah there is a little 5 wire ribbon (sorta like an IDE) that goes from the internal bit to the external part on the amiga video port.
