I may be barking up the wrong tree here, but i have a firewire port on the front of my case, with "flying leads" to connect to a motherboard port (i think its the one you mention), but I have no header on the mobo, so i just tuck the wires away.
WinUAE Only... OS3.9 with 512mb ZIII ram ;)

Infact, seen as I dont use it, I can see if its detachable if you want it.

Drat! Its on a board with the other bits n bobs ... BUT

I can take some snaps of it if you like so you can see what goes where, etc?

The case I have, with the Firewire port / Perspex side / 400watt PSU cost me £12 on ebuyer :-D

Yeah... well i thought my 400 watt PSU and case (and 1 case fan!) for £12 was gonna sux, and people said it would, but a 28 day uptime means something is working OK at least. Saying that, im only running an Athlon 750 in there, im not so sure how the cheaper PSU would cope with an XP CPU or something along those lines. Ebuyer rox for cheapo stuff's. :-P
