Is it a Commodore Amiga or an Escom Amiga? (What does the label on the bottom say?) If its a Rev 1d4 board, you can just plug in a new mouse port, cos its on a flying lead :-)

On that model of Amiga a1200, the mouse port is soldered to the board. It can be replaced, but with a soldering iron.
