On NT you needed to install and configure the RAS component.

I never really got null modem and modem connections to work - when the NT box was using the modem for dialup IP ( PPP ) it would work fine. When it was using NULL modem with the Amiga it would work fine. When they were both running at the same time connections would keep dropping.

When I reversed it the situation was pretty much the same exception connections didn't drop just the Amigas mouse became jerky and programs that used chipram stopped working.

Not a satisfactory experience!

It used to be! I don't know what happened to 2000s
RAS support - you had better go and browse around the online MSDN resources. :-)
