Is it possible to replace the 880k floppy in the A1200 with a 1.76?? Will the ROM/OS recognize it?
Yes, this will work nicely. You need an Amiga specific high density drive, though, and these are both (very) hard to find and expensive. The OS supports it without any problems.
My A1200 has one. You're not getting mine...
