What monitor do you suggest for Amiga 600/1200 systems? Do you recommend the original monitors or do you recommend flicker magic solutions + modern VGA monitors?

I use an internal scandoubler/flickerfixer with my A1200 and have a nice, very clear 15" Compaq CRT to join it. This combo enables me to use it both for games and for Workbenchstuff. I have been using scandoublers on all the Amigas I had, starting with an A500, an A2000 and now both my A1200 and A3000. Even for non-interlaced resolutions (320 & 640x256) I very much prefer a scandoubled/flickerfixed image.

The 1084 is a nice monitor, but I prefer a scandoubler/flickerfixer and a 'modern' 15" VGA anytime on any Amiga. I do like the 1084 for both my C64 and C128, though. :-)
Life sucks. Then you die. Then they throw mud in your face. Then you get eaten by worms. Be happy it happens in that order... My Amiga 1200
