Unveiled at the Microprocessor Forum in San Jose, each device combines the processor with application specific soft peripherals, optimised for wired or wireless network applications. Imsys uses a field programmable architecture, where custom instruction sets can be downloaded as microcode.
They use Writable Instruction Set Computing and can run 68K codes, and x86 codes.
