Yes, which is the only reason why a 3000 owner would buy one of these.  The 3000's processor is on the motherboard, like the 1200.  You would need this card to upgrade a 16MHz 3000 to 25MHz, which is why the card is numbered 3xxx instead of 4xxx :-D
