Yes you have to pay up front, they are not shipped until you pay. The total cost for mine (in GBP) was £171 which includes a £10 fee by my bank to send money abroad.

Mine arrived today. It is in fact a UK version - well mine is anyway. QWERTY keyboard and UK power supply. Overall I'm very happy with it - it all smells new and has obviously never been used. The software box is still sealed. Things to bear in mind if wanting to buy:

- There is discolouration to some of the cables (but NOT the Amiga - perfectly white.)
- The warranty seal on the bottom of the Amiga is broken (I assume to void the warranty.)
- Petro has not only signed the box, but also the Amiga. I would have preferred he hadn't personally, as I don't think it will come off :(
- It has obviously been moved around over the years, so don't expect the box and inserts to be perfect.

Overall, very happy with it though. Nice to open up a new Amiga for the first time since 1994 :)

As I've said before, sorry but anybody buying one of his NOS Amigas has no right to complain. He said they had been sitting in a warehouse for 15 years, and that they were untested. If you wanted one to play with, you should have bought a used tested one for a fraction of the price from eBay.

This is hilarious. Seriously, if you're the kind of person who even considers playing the 'consumer laws' card when dealing with 20 year old computers that have been sitting in a warehouse for 15 years, retro computing probably isn't for you.

FYI, the warranty seals on the bottom of all of the Amiga's were broken YEARS ago when the company went bust and the units were resold as dead stock, because a company that doesn't exist cannot offer a warranty. There is no scam or conspiracy here, they're just a load of old odd Amiga's, and some of them are bound to have issues after so long. If you're not willing to take that risk, buy a tested one from Amibay or something.

Let us be really clear though, 150 euro for a factory fresh 1200 would be ludicrously low.

I completely agree - I also collect new/sealed games and consoles, and the difference in price between new and used is often 300% or more (sometimes much more) and almost always significantly more than the original retail price. People are crazy if they think they are getting a bad deal here.

Mine was definitely brand new, you can just tell.

I'm not so sure about that. New doesn't always mean perfect. I buy and sell 'new' games consoles, I have had nearly 100 this year alone, and from the many I've seen over the years you just know whether one is new or not. You can't fake the smell, or the freshness of the plastic etc. But new computers definitely can have marks, scratches etc on them. These were boxed up by people in hot sweaty factories, not by robots in a dust free environment. And they've been sitting in warehouses and shipped around the world for nearly 20 years.
