Beast96GT: OS 3.1 has very limited CD-ROM support. I'd suggest a 'proper' CD Filesystem like AsimCDFS (commercial, might be able to find on EBay) or otherwise some freeware/shareware options from Aminet.

As for termination, there might be a jumper on the back of the CD drive to terminate the chain... Depending on the Amiga system, controller, drive, time of day, broccoli, etc..... that jumper may or may not work to properly terminate the SCSI chain. Some ppl. I know say only a separate terminator will work properly.  Myself, I've had no problems using the termination jumper on a few CD-ROM's, or the term. switch on a Zip drive.... but, as always, Your mileage may vary. ;)
