Genesis does not use mui afair, it uses reaction , which is part of os3.9.  I would suggest re-installing genesis from the os3.9 cd.  Sounds like something is missing.  Also default genesis off the cd does not have the samba stuff in it

Aweb is the best free one.  Have you got the latest beta version from the open source version.
