Last week, I repaired a worn key pad of an A1200, by gluing a PostIt on it, after having sprayed the yellow card with graphite. :-) It works great.

Just to be sure that the green circuitry foil is broke (even though might be repaired), try to exchange the conductive pads with other functioning keys. I know it's a pain in the ### (30 tiny screws on the back of the KB) but you should try this. A quick test of the keys is on the "Early Startup Menu", by pressing one key after another: if the key is OK the mode changes from Pal to NTSC.
