Disk Scans
« on: October 03, 2004, 01:38:13 AM »
Are there any high quality WB disk scans (like the thumbnails in http://www.gregdonner.org/workbench/ , but better scans)?

Here are more photos, but not quality scans :-( .

I need them to replace old/worn disks.

I'm sure it would be against copyright laws to distribute the disk label artwork anyway.

The Copyright is accredited to Commodore anyway, as you see on the label is written ? Commodore.
On every site that the Commodore or its products are figured/mentioned there is a ? Commodore disclamer. All you have to do is to attribute the Commodore copyright to the company.

As I wrote before, it's strictly for personal use, to replace old & worn diskettes that I own.

Well, can't you scan them yourself and fix them up in a photo editor, then?

I tried, but its of no use (there are parts missing/discoulored on the top of the label) :-( .

as really, the only point to having them is to produce "reproduction" diskettes - which will probably end up for sale on eBay as "original" Workbench disks.

That's not the only point, speak for yourself.
For me is preservation of old & used staff. I was young and I really didn't pay attention to keep the disks clean or do a backup. Now I regret, but there isn't much I can do for that...
