I've seen two providers here that do not need Java at all. In the instruction manual most of the times is explained how to configure a modem.

Most of the times this can be achieved with normal telnet or just good ol' plain IBrowse... so no need to drag a PC in ;-)
Current: OS 3.1.4, Blizzard 1260/50, 64 MB, AGA, CF, Ryś MKII, PCMCIA/CNET
Storage: Elbox E/BOX 1200, SCSI Kit IV, Mediator SX, Voodoo3/4/5, RTL8139 Ethernet, Spider USB 2.0, PixelView PlayTV MPEG2, Terratec 512i, MAS MP3 Player

@Framiga

Yes, you're right :-) But for a moment I was thinking of a helpdesk that I once phoned:

You have an Amiga ?!? Then you can't have DSL.

What!?! 50 Mhz. ?!?  -> You can't have DSL ;)

Ok, about the problem... ;-)

Did the provider provide a manual? If so, try to look at the Mac part of it. Most of the times there is a bit more explained instead of a link to an .exe file on a certain CD.

Also if none of this helps, try and find a Linux site that covers this provider. Most of the time on such sites is explained step by step what you have to do.

I haven't got the device you mentioned, so if the prob is related to that... sorry.

Look in your modem manual, it should be there, if you don't have the manual, go to the website of the makers. They usually have a pdf file you can download.

Usually it is around the 10.0.0.134/135 or 10.0.0.150
