Although eBay undoubtedly has some dodgy sellers, I would like to think that it is only a minority.

I follow my own personal rules when bidding, to prevent myself from being stung...

- I don't bid on expensive and/or rare items with no picture
- I don't bid on items with minimal descriptions
- I don't bid on items where the seller has put something "funny" as their location, such as "Middle of Nowhere" (I've seen plenty like this)
- I don't bid on items whose sellers have hidden their feedback
- I don't bid on items with "!WOW!" in the title!

I'm an experienced eBay seller with 100% positive feedback from 247 unique buyers, and I treat my winning bidders like I would expect to be treated myself. If everyone followed this, eBay would be trouble-free!

The only trouble I have had with eBay was with my most expensive item to date... my CD32 SX32 Pro module. It took nearly a month to be delivered (and I paid instantly with PayPal) , but at least the guy kept responding to my e-mails saying he was unable to make it to the post office.
