QuarkTex is a Warp3D & StormMESA to OpenGL wrapper for WinUAE from KonTechs.

News for v0.5
-Bugs have been fixed and support for windowed Warp3D applications has been added.
-Preliminary, native StormMESA (OpenGL) support has been added. We would like to know if there is interest in a further developed version. By adding support for recent OpenGL extensions Amiga applications running in WinUAE could achieve the visual quality of native Windows applications.
See here for further details and downloads.

I've been using version 0.1 with WinUAE for quite a while now, mainly to play Payback in Warp3D mode.

I downloaded the new version 0.5 last night and noticed that although many bugs have been fixed, windowed mode doesn't work yet, and I'm convinced that 0.1 was faster, particularly with busy scenes in Payback. But it's definitely a lot more stable and it works fine with Payback, MiniGL games, and the demos in the Warp3D install archive.

I hope that this continues to be developed.

Steve.

1 Copy quarktex.alib to your winuae directory (windows side)
2 copy warp3d.library to libs: (amiga side)

Except that in step 1, put quarktex.alib in the WinUAE directory in a sub-directory called alib, eg. ../WinUAE/ALib/.

It really is as simple as that!

Whatever you do, DON'T install Warp3D first, as you would with a real Amiga. The QuarkTex download is all you need! :-)
