Without going into GPL-technicals:
PiR allready has all the data-files, so all he would need is the exe-file, which falls under
GPL, since it was devired from GPLed source.

Wether that means he could just use the exe, or has to (find someone to) push the sources
through the compiler, and where he is supposed to get it is a discussion I will glady leave
to the pro and anti-GPL-zealots  :-P  :-P

Bout the 68k-version:
No 68k can handle that, you'll need UAE/Amithon fot that.
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

"the GUI"

Well that would depend on how much it is intregrated into Q2. If it is needed to
start the game and/or is linked with the exe, than it would also fall under GPL

If it was just a nice "starter" that than will call Q2 with needed paramaters, just as
one could do it in CLI, than it would be o.k. (but also not mandatory for playing
the game). Don't know, can't check, won't care.

About the 68k, seems I stand corrected, but someone I can't imagine it to be
much fun ...

Oh, just rechecked the actual licence, and yes I could hand out as much copies
of the exe as I want, aslong as I also provide (a way to) the sources.
