There are exactly 3 reason for a ballon to go up:

1) hot air

2) expensive gas that makes your voice go qiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeek

3) cheap gas that likes to go BOOOM in a big way

Metaphors need to be choosen wisely ;)
