Hmmmm
(AFAIK)

The AmigaOS-licence for Gorky lies in e.p.i.c.'s hands, while the
Linux-licence seems to be owned by Hyperion.

I also fail to see how a port to Linux-port would be so much help for
an AOS-port, it's not like the 2 had similar APIs.
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

@lempkee

And how does that contradict what I wrote ?
(I assume you saw gorky on Linux-PPC and/or MOL).

Would be kindof odd (and completly out of character) if Hyperion were
doing an AOS-port without telling so.
