Yeah nice idea,but.....

Expect a rather high licence-fee, and the Mac-port is allready on it's way, so
a "do it once, sell it twice" won't be possible.

A Amiga-only port is very unlikely to cover it's costs (speak about sales in low/mid
3 figure numbers).

Hyperion are allready well occupied:
OS4.
OS4-related stuff (W3D-NOVA/SNAP).
Old licences (SIN,Real3D....).
New licences (Ingagold, DOpus).
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

Ah that.....

Well I wouldn't call that a war, it is just people/buisnesses being
honest for a change....

Neither e.p.i.c. nor Titan have ruled out OS4-versions,but allways
made it clear that they can't promise support for a system the don't have to
test/develolp on.

PPC-stuff ?

You mean WOS ????

Wouldn't work for stuff like Voyager (unless you plan to rewrite it from scratch).

And OS4 just ain't there (yet).

Bout Titan, yes I have seen several interviews where they stated that they would
support OS4 when it's ready, but they also have been not so optimistic about it
like some people wanted them to be (and have been prooven right in the last 2 years).

While I don't know the connection between Alex Knabe (who did the presentation
in Rotterdam) and Titan, but one of the 1st things he stated was that a
OS4-version of BurnIt is quite likely to happen.

About starting this "war":

Sofar I have seen only one company ruling out one of the 2 OSes, and that since
2000 ........ :-o
