@hnl_dk
That is NOT what Ben said.....

Core parts will be PPC, but some other parts are planned for later.
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

@Bill

L*O*L ... (they are ALL the same aren't they).

Regarding a non-JIT-68k-emu for OS4: There isn't any !!

H&P had written one once, but that won't be used (for obvious reasons).

Depending on an 100% JIT-emu can spell problems, as you always have to
compromise between fast compiling and good optimization, and need
to have a look at the JIT-cache-size /real prob on the Phase5-HW).

That's why Bernie's JIT will only start if a piece of codes has
allready been executed a few times. Using UAE's non-JIT 68k is much
faster for code that is only used once, and you don't have to throw
out other code out of a full cache.

f not, I'm sure they could always rip 68k emu from the public beta of MOS

You mean like they did with MUI-PPC ?  :-P

@Mr_Capehill

Sure as long as they stick to Strunzi's rules, it's o.k. , but
if you remember what Ben said about MUI at the beginning (not
needed/no part of the OS) you should understand that there
would be no MUI-PPC without R.S. porting it and then giving it
back to the CVS.
