Oh man, things are a mess around here. If I never have to go through another corporate merger or acquisition again, it will be too soon. And our HR Manager just quit today! Just up and quit, I guess she couldn't take it anymore, not that I blame her. I've turned down a few offers for other jobs, guess I'm a sucker for deciding to stick it through to the end... I went so far along with this company, I feel like I "owe it" to my coworkers to not leave them stranded without support for what's probably going to be our last few months as a company. Hopefully at least will get a good severance package when it happens.
In brighter news, getting married this week! Going to Vegas, doing the whole Elvis thing, oughta be a blast.
Do wish I had time to turn on my Amiga's although at this point I'm kind of scared that if I turned one on, something would break and I'd need to spend hours fixing it.
Good luck on your move! Cost of living sure does sound cheaper down there, plus warm weather year 'round... watch out for those hurricanes though!
