Opalvision Background

I thought it replaces color 0 (or was it color 1) with its background? Try changing the background color of your windows or Shell - any difference?

I would try using some tools like Full Palette and VisualPrefs (both available on Aminet) to give you more control over your Workbench appearance settings.

While you're at it, the Rebel palette and Peter K. icon.library are pretty good, if you don't already have those installed.
