I think most SD/CF solutions top out around 2.5MB/sec.  A very few handful might go to 5-6MB/sec., but I can't recall off-hand what those were.  If you're just looking for the "fastest possible", there's a few folks on the forum who've gotten 35-40MB/sec. out of their CyberStorm controllers with fast SCSI drives (or maybe it was with SCSI-to-SATA adapters).  You might try seeking out one of them and asking about their hardware combos.  Good luck!  :)

AmigaOS 4 is not quick on non-PPC Amiga68k

If by "not quick" you mean "AmigaOS 4 doesn't run at all on non-PPC classic systems."
