Yes, of course they do.  The original manufacturer open-sourced the design years ago, was a guy over on Amibay making knock-offs right up until recently, maybe he even still is.  He made copies of the original Thylacine (with one USB port) and also a "Mini Thylacine", which had two ports, or four, I think it was four running off a header... don't remember off-hand but there was tons of pictures posted in the threads on Amibay.

As far as "how did they work"?  Well, I had one of his Thylacines, and it *sucked* in my A2000.  Would completely bog the system down as soon as you plugged in any device.  Spoke with one other A2000 user who had the same problem.  But this was a Zorro-II issue not a Thylacine issue.  I sold mine on and traded up to an X-Surf 100 with RapidRoad module, and couldn't be happier with that combo.  Something about how the RR handles devices that the much older Thylacine couldn't, blah blah, TL;DR.  Thylacine works fine if you have an A3000/A4000, but RR or Deneb or other options are better.  ;)

Theses would be for my 4000's n 4000T's..I'll look into it.
There was an X-Surf on EBay a few days ago..but I'm sure its gone, had a USB module attached as well.

Amigastore.eu has X-Surf 100's and RapidRoads in stock.  That's my go-to distributor for whenever AmigaKit is out of something, or I can't find it on their website.  ;)

ProTip:  Get the RapidRoad module for clockport.  It works exactly the same as the RR for X-Surf 100, but is also compatible with A1200's.  Yes, it is a little more expensive, but worth it if you ever think you might move it to another system.  The only difference is that Jens disables the clockport in the "RR for X-Surf 100" models.  ;)

ProTip 2:  Search the forums, I believe someone posted on here a while back that they couldn't get the RR to work in a 4000T.  I think it might have had to do with what processor card they were using, but I can't remember all the details.  In any case, since you mention having multiple 4000's and 4000T's, you've got plenty of test platforms.  #Jealous!  ;)

He's on Amibay.  Look for the threads that are like 40 pages long.  ;)

I'm just mentioning so that all can be correctly informed...  :)

Interesting threads.  The drama continues, haha.  Although I admit I did tune out on the second thread after just a few posts down, where somebody is complaining about ACATune not working properly and they only have Kickstart 3.0.  For the love of god and all that is holy, spend the lousy $16 bucks for some 3.1 ROM's and see if that fixes the problem, before complaining.  I swear I just want to grab some people and shake them sometimes, LOL.
