I don't have either a Buddha or a TrueIDE, but just to make sure, everything works fine with this setup until you put a CF card in the TrueIDE?  Are the boards shown as working correctly in early startup?

Probably not the ideal way of doing it, but if I were you I'd reinstall your SCSI controller (like you said) and try to boot off that, and configure the Buddha & TrueIDE to work as slave devices, first.  You know, just see if you're able to get them working at all?

You could always install an OS to them that way, also, then just bump up the boot priority once they're working so they boot first instead of your SCSI controller.  :)

You have the 3.9 Emergency floppy already?  You'll want to make one of those.

Just a quick thought from skimming, you sure the Buddha & TrueIDE are fully compatible with your modded accelerator?

Yes, you can install straight from the CD.  The ERD is only to "get you to that point" if you know what I mean?

Unrelated side note, did you get your 4.1 FE yet?   I was amused to see that it comes with it's own ERD.  Should throw it in my 2000 and see how fast it chokes on it, lol.  ;)
