X-Surf 100 arrived today from amigastore.eu.  Took a month to get here from Spain, but price and shipping were very reasonable.  Also they were the only place I could find online that had it in-stock.  

Now to find some darn time to play with it, but here's a few pics of the unboxing in the meantime.  Quarter shown for size reference how skinny this thing is.  I'm glad they put the little yellow sticker saying the manual was underneath the foam, otherwise I probably never would've noticed it, haha.  

Still not sure what I'm going to use for a TCP/IP stack, probably start with Genesis since I've already got it installed, then try Roadshow.  It's been over a decade since I've put an Amiga online.  Unrelated: Amiga.org needs a smiley of an old man face.  :rolleyes:

Struggled with Genesis for a bit, the setup program locked up and my 3.9 + BB1-4 install seems to be missing some components, so no love there. Installed MiamiDX, it's Init program also froze up but I was manually able to enter enough values that I could get online, ping my Amiga from a PC, ping my PC from the Amiga, and eventually was able to get online to view a few simple web pages. Anything beyond Google's homepage or the web-based setup pages for my printers seems to result in a visit from the Guru (even amiga.org crashed), but I suspect that's more an issue with Aweb than the card or TCP/IP stack.

Regardless, it works! :drink: Hopefully have more time to bang around with it later this weekend or next week. Need to try a better browser, haha.

Posting this from my Amiga.  IBrowse and MiamiDX. Rocking it with the X-Surf 100.    Very, very fast.  Stable, no issues on the few pages I've visited so far.  Obviously still limited by a decade-old browser, but eh.  It is what it is.  

For anyone who's interested, the USB ports on the X-Surf 100 are completely inactive without the module.  I tested them with a couple devices, was hoping they'd at least be powered (so I could use them as charging ports for phones, etc.), but nada.

 Since I recorded this I already figured out how to start Miami silently in the background during startup.  Heck, it's almost like using a modern computer, now!

Thanks for the tips, guys! I definitely plan on trying out Roadshow and tweaking the settings in iBrowse, that JavaScript is a killer, lol.
 
@Kernel - no, I haven't heard anything about the USB module.
 
@Curtis - I figured you'd see this post, hope you have as much fun with yours as I'm having with mine!  It took a month and a couple days to arrive, figure they put it on the slow boat, but we've also had such nasty weather around here that's delayed a lot of shipments.  No big deal.

Could you identify the chips used on the circuit board?

Yes, all the chips are labeled.  I'd rather not pull it out, but you should be able to identify most of them from the pictures I added in the first post.  Let me know if you'd like me to email you higher res copies.

Oh, and @gizmo350 - MYGOD, iBrowse is so much faster with JavaScript turned off, LOL.  Cheers!  :drink:

picked up my xsurf-100 at Amiwest and finally got it installed yesterday with Easynet PRO.  I didn't have a ethernet line where is Amiga currently so I picked up a little wireless ethernet bridge thingy off amazon for like 17 dollars.. works great.  Anyway, The xsurf is awesome!  Works great.
I agree with @oldsmobile_Mike comment that we need a new 68k browser..... so bad!

Haha.  Where'd you dig up this old thread?    I was wondering what you wound up using.  I meant to respond to you, but honestly when I'm in those situations I just take an old WRT54G router loaded with DD-WRT firmware (I have a stack of them), and set it to "receive" instead of "broadcast", and plug it in that way.  Probably not as clean a solution as what you used.
