Commodore, in their infinite wisdom, made about 20 different models of the "1084", all of them with different connectors. The one you have there will work fine with your 23-pin Amiga video output, just need to source the right cable.

Edit: personally I'd recommend if you can fit it in your budget, get an Indivision and use a modern monitor. Just IMHO. ;)

Amiga would use the 6-pin one, "lin RGB", at least with the cables I have.  I assume it's possible to use either one, just depending on which cable you get, LOL.  Commodore designed these things to be used with their entire range: C64's, C128, PC's, Amiga's, etc., and went with the cheapest suppliers, hence so many different connectors.  :(
