With Scandoubler like Indivision you get really sharp picture, but scrolling isn't smooth

Sorry, but I'm going to call BS on this urban legend.  I own two Indivisions, both which are hooked up to high quality displays, and have zero problems with scrolling.  It *all* depends on the type of display you hook it up to.  If you use a cheap cable or some cheap-@ss TV or old monitor yeah, you'll probably have problems, but anything with a modern refresh rate should zoom right along.  Money for Indivisions = money well spent, IMHO.

Or maybe your eyes are just better than mine.

When the output from old Amiga games is 50Hz and your display is something else

Aaaaah.  I think I understand the issue.  I haven't had to play with it in a while, but as I recall Indivision has two selectable output modes.  1.00 and 1.25.  1.00 is 50Hz PAL and 60Hz NTSC.  1.25 is 62.5Hz PAL and 75Hz NTSC.  I live in North America.  My main TV that I use with my Amigas has no problems syncing to 60Hz, 75Hz, on up to around 120Hz.  The rare handful of times I've needed to mess with some old PAL software, my TV was also able to sync down to 50Hz.  But just with the defaults you get 60Hz output from the Indivision and 60Hz input on the TV = no scrolling problems.  You darned Europeans and your flickery 50Hz screenmodes, LOL.  ;)  Kidding!  :insane:
