Try it with no other cards installed. Triple-check your jumper settings based on BBOAH and amiga.resource.cx. Make sure your card slot and edge connector are nice and clean, and seating correctly, and not affected by any battery damage.

Beyond that, as said above, it should "just work". Try card in a different Amiga if possible, and try a different card in that same Amiga, should help you narrow down whether it's the motherboard or the card. I'd be a bit wary of the GVP install disk since sometimes they can install some outdated and dodgy software. I'd especially avoid any of the GVP disk prep stuff. Check Ralph Babel's archive and the GVP-M website to see if there's any updates.

Good luck!

Would it work in a 3000?

Afraid not. Totally different processor slot design. With the card installed you shouldn't see the 68000 at all, the system should automatically detect the 68030 and that's what you should see in SysInfo (unless it's disabled by some jumper). Sounds like a faulty card, I'm afraid. Although I do believe there are some other Amiga users in your area, perhaps they might be able to assist with another test system? Mechy, Chaoslord, etc., I think are down there. Although I understand Texas is a big state, LOL! ;)

You may still want to get a different card, or find someone local who has an accelerator that you can test in your system, since it never was ruled out whether it was the accelerator slot/motherboard or the processor card, ya know?
