I actually wouldn't mind an NTSC Amiga in the UK (for peanuts) even just a motherboard would do. I recently played Lotus II in WinUAE in PAL and NTSC and in NTSC it is even faster (and hence more challenging).
So if anyone has an NTSC mobo in the UK they want to sell for beer money give me shout 
Can't you just force it into NTSC via Degrader, or WHDLoad, or one of the other zillion tools which do this same thing?
And wow, that pee story, I'd have to see some of the original correspondence to believe that, but ugh! :evil:
